I was planning to buy Garden of Life's Vitamin Code multi-vitamins.

Do you know of a better brand?? I don't want synthetic vitamins.

Thanks!

I don't know if Dr. Mercola's vitamins are better, but they are what I use. They are quite good.

The two brands I've heard are best are New Chapter and Standard Process.

I don't think either one is gluten free. Thanks, though!

I suggest looking into the physician-and-practitioner-only brands such as...

Xymogen
Researched Nutritionals
Perque
Natura Health Products (Note: They sell some of their products "openly", but others are practitioner only, so you'll need to find a qualified reseller)

Each of them offer pretty comprehensive multivitamins, and are more likely to include cutting edge, better absorbance, and high quality ingredients. For instance Perque's "Life Guard" multivitamin includes 5-MTHF instead of folic acid, and hydroxocobalamin when many only have cyanocobalamin (or methyl. Methyl being superior to cyano, and hydroxo being at least equal to, or superior to methyl).

I also suggest products from Pure Encapsulations (which is not practitioner-only and is one of the better "open" brands. They're even sold on Amazon in some cases.) There's also www.retailbiopure.com.

Sadly, there are many sites (some, even run by physicians and practitioners) that sell some of these specialty brands and really jack up the prices (ie I've seen the aforementioned Perque vitamins going for over $125!), but it doesn't have to be that way, so look for other alternatives.

Garden of Life brand Vitamin Code multi-vitamins are very good. I use them.

They are gluten-free.

I'd like to know if there is a good multi for women in their 50's and beyond that is 1 a day...

I tried highly recommended Integrative Therapeutics End Fatigue Daily Energy Enfusion but seemed to have some sensitivity and cannot take. It was pricy.

If anyone would like this free of charge, please PM me. I have 2 big containers. I only want the shipping charges for it.

I bought multi-vitamins at Whole Foods recently, but they were so expensive when I learned I would need to take 4 per day@!

I buy from Holistic Heal. The multi vitamin is Neurological Health Formula. All of their vitamins are natural and easily assimilated. I also take GABA, folinic acid, hydroxy B12, molybdenem, carnosine, carnitine and phosphatidlylserene.

I did the test for methy cycle mutations so I only take what I need.

There are some things that are harmful for many of us to take, like iron. NHF does not have much iron, if any. If you have CBS mutation you should not take methionine or cysteine because they are high in sulfur.

I used to question what other people were taking, always looking for the magic bullet. It is much better to treat yourself as an individual, knowing what you actually need and what is harmful.

Tu, tu that's why I always place a huge order at once. $10 is a lot to just ship one item. But in some cases it still might be cheaper because his prices are so good. It all depends on the product you are ordering.

Maybe I need a new thread. Tell me what is good to order from his site!

--Standard Process is not usually gluten free. I'm leery of that brand.
