This is great, I have always thought about this. when my nails are not good it shows that something is not absorbing properly or I'm deficient. I have the horizontal ridges, it's new, my one nail looks totally deformed. This article says that my nail stopped growing, I am going to start taking my liquid zinc to see if it changes.

I have a low sodium problem, I eat almost no carbs, eat a fair amount of protein...the only 'yes' is digestive system...huge problem for me.
