I'm really confused about blood tests for candida, interpreting the results and how accurate the tests are.

I've never had a test. I'd like to see which strain I have, but can't go off my meds to check it out.

I don't need a test to tell me that I have severe candida.

I had the same trouble remembering the difference betw IGG and IGM.

I came up with a mneumonic device.

IG G means the activity is GONE (past) infection

IG M means it's in the Moment (present) infection

Candida tests are notoriously unreliable, which is why most people don't bother with them.

It is a very common companion to Lyme and many people have it without realising, just as many have a big parasite and /or heavy metal problem without identifying it, partly because of symptom overlap.

Unfortunately, when you treat for Lyme infections, heavy metals and parasite, candida and other yeasts seem to flourish all the more!
