I can't decide which one would help me? Anyone have insight? I deal with allergy issues, cramping and diarrhea. Thanks

The SCD diet came along first and the Gaps diet followed. Both of them deal with healing the gut.
The GAPs diet also focuses on healing the gut in order to heal the brain.
I heard the GAPS diet is more restrictive but is very good if you can follow it.
Both diets work well on healing the gut.
The basic premise of both diets is to eat foods that digest either in the stomach or small intestine
That way no food is left in the colon that will ferment and cause the bad bacteria to grow. If you already have bad bacteria in the colon, it will starve them.
It is helpful to take herbs and such that will help the colon heal. You have to be careful though because some of those herbs actually digest in the large intestine.
Probiotics is a must. Hope that helps.
