It is a good thing you stopped taking it. I don't think that is a herx. Good chance it is an allergic reaction.
Only issue I had with that drug was severe diarrhea. Even still that was a year ago and I am tolerating more things now so we are trying that drug again.
There are lots of alternatives for you to take and I am sure your doctor will prescribe something else.

i am allergic to penicillin and I thought iread that cephalosporins are similar to penicillin?
Perhaps it is an allergic reaction.

Not sure if this was a coincidence or not, but, I, too, developed serious heart issues while taking the same med! However, I was also newly taking A-Bart at the same time, so, it would be hard to definitively implicate the Omni.
The heart symptoms became so bad -and yes, both treatments were suspended- that, here I am 8 months later still trying to resolve the related issues. No fun.
Yikes. Powerful stuff...apparently.
What about you? How did you make out with calling your doctor about this med? Hopefully, your symptoms have completely abated.
