Does anyone know of a hair dye that will work for hair that will not hold color due to this prolonged illness?
It may seem silly, but with everything else being haywire, it would be nice to not have root growth that makes me feel self conscious.

Beauty Supply stores carry a soy based formula that is less aromatic and stinky, easier on you and the environment. You will have to buy a "gray away" formula that is extra coloring for those hard to color hairs. This is a function of age not disease that the hair shaft no longer takes color. You add drops based on the amount of color in the formula. I think it is called "gray magic". One bottle of extra color lasts several colorings. With the soy based color, you must leave your hair exposed to develop, unlike the traditional formula where you put you hair in a shower cap or towel. I think L'Oreal makes a good soy formula. Stay away from the red shades, they have had a problem with lead and causing brain cancer over long term use.

Intersting Lymetoo, particularly since I've been reading about the extended havoc an inflammed
gut can have on processing protein, nutrients , minerals, hormones, you name it. If the
nurtients can't get into the intestinal wall, it gets excreted and unused. Supplementation does not always help in this case.

It isn't really gray that I was refering to. I have always colored my hair, since age 17. I tried to go back towards my nature color, it didn't stay in, it just kept washing away. Not normally the situation.
I have a few grays, yes they are stubborn. I take a lot of magnesium to try and help get my digestive system working. I'll look into the article, thanks.
