No, you need 200mg twice a day.

Moving this to Medical Questions for more help.

Was the tick embedded?

Some say 6 weeks minimum for early case. See Dr. B guidelines in sticky at top.

Nicholson, do you have a "lyme literate" doctor that everyone here talks about? This is important and necessary. You will need a strong antibiotic and a very strong probiotic since the antibiotic will kill off the good bacteria in you gut and wreak havoc with your health. You may have also been exposed to co-infections like bartonella and babesia. These are as serious as lyme disease. I ignored the fact that I had been bitten by a tick and had a huge bullseye rash. My symptoms escalated until I remembered that tick and then got tested. I asked for a lyme literate doc here at this site and people gave me the name of a very good naturopath. I tested positive for lyme.

My doctor says 4 months of treatment when newly bitten as it takes that amount of time for the red blood cells to replicate.

Just sharing my experience, I am not a doctor.
