I am sure someone else would tell you something different but here is what I would do.

Probiotics should be taken away from antibiotics at least 2-3 hours. You could take them mid day with lunch or late at night before going to bed.

Read the bottle to see if you can eat with the type of probiotic you are taking. Some say eat and some say don't eat with taking them. Mine is a powder that I put in greek yogurt.

Bactrim, malarone can be taken together but you need 30 grams of fat ingested with the meal you eat when you take the abx. Malalone is the drug that needs the fat to be absorbed.

Art needs to be taken on an empty stomach. I take Researched Nutritionals brand and it says on the bottle to take on an empty stomach.

I would take the interphase plus with my other supplements two-three hours away from my abx.

Good topic! I need the same type of help. It gets really confusing!

What about these also?
Methyl Folate
Magnesium
Glutathione
NT Factor

I'm starting Plaquenil, Coartem (pulsing), Clyndamycin and Doxy (one per week until up to speed)beginning tomorrow.

With all this stuff to take, I'm confused also!

Also, does anyone know what you can do if the abx tear your stomach up? Would it be safe to take Prevacid?

You guys rock!

Is the glutathione oral? I have only done IV Glutathione. I don't know what to tell you about this one.

Methyl Folate I take my version of this (deplin) in the am alone and wait for 30 minutes to take abx, magnesium and NT Factor with your other supplements away from abx again 2-3 hours later.

I would assume you would take your abx together. Double check that with your LLMD.

Do NOT take your abx with prevacid. Take with food if your stomach becomes upset. Also, ginger tea can settle your stomach if it gets upset too.

I always take probiotics following each meal, even when taking abx during , that is what energy tests best for me. The first few weeks I took IV abx, I took probiotics about 6-7 times/day, including in the middle of the night.

I don't buy the "keep it away from abx" notion. Just after you've taken abx and crushed all your good bacteria, that's the perfect time to restore them. What would we be waiting for? Anyone worried about "wasting them" should just wait until after abx are no longer needed, however many months or years that is (said tongue-in-cheek only).

Taking probiotics with abx or just after cancels out the probiotics. You are wasting your money and not replenishing anything. [bonk]

Jessiep-take magnesium when you take your other supplements but it has to be 2-3 hours after abx or you will interfere with abx absorption.

Get those big, old person pill container things that have a slot every few hours or so. It helped

me immensely during bouts of brain fog and kept me organized. Get the ones with trays for the

days of the week and do a week ahead. They may have something new and improved on the market

since I bought mine. Don't feel like it is a step down. I am there in spirit holding your hand in support

and glaring at anyone who dares to look at you sideways. [Wink]
