I'm going to be seeing a new LLMD soon..I had been doing fairly well on IV Rocephin but a few months ago some 'strange' sx began to creep in, HA, chills/sweats, more fatigue (couldn't sleep enough), more pain, etc. I stopped the IV in June and began to treat Babesia, to no avail.
My question is, how many of you were doing ok with one protocol when another infection (that's what I'm assuming it is) slammed you and how did you know exactly what infection it was?

Good question! I have this question too. It seems I do great on IM bicillin a couple of months then I hit a wall and start having other issues.
Not sure what infection it is that causes drenching sweats and dehydration but happens to me everytime and I have gone on babesia treatment and bartonella treatment to no avail.

Keep plugging away and rotate abx with your LLMD. Change LLMDs if you have to. I've had three during the course of this disease.
It takes about 18 months to feel much better with treatment.
I've never reached 100%, but come at least 90% or more on some days. I can do most things I set my mind to which is pretty good because at one time I was bedridden for months.

It looks to me like herxes building up. With anything that kills, I always get the cycle first improving, then feeling crap after and stopping to improve.
Binders and good detox can make your life soooo much better!

my son is 6 months into treatment where he's rotated through several different abx.
There was a glimmer of hope at month 4 where we noticed some small improvement for a little while.
But since a couple of months now he has steadily started to go downhill again. At this point his symptoms are probably worse than before treatment.
Very hard to keep the faith. Feels like we're flying blind without a map.

Agree with Brussels, that is what happened to me but didn't know how to interpret the signs. Nor did LLMD.
