Hi <<<<< Lymenet Family >>>>>,

TxC' injured his ankle several weeks back, and tried to manage thru the pain until now.

He is headed for VA clinic, after a visit to the bank. The coloration is odd, brownish black and blue.

It is puzzling,,a bump on top of left ankle, the pain comes when he lifts his foot up ,when on the floor it doesn't hurt. But to walk...pain...

I was looking at some of the rash pictures for LD and Bart, and his ankle has odd splotches,w/ the weird coloration.

He developed a sudden onset allergy to cats after his knee replacement three years back now. He had been scratched by kittens. Eyes watering sinus issue, streaks and redness at scratch sites on his legs.

Dr. said kittens had to go,some got them to human society.

VA does not recognize Lyme as we know, and they are his care provider. We are sure he has Lyme and Co's like I do.

I am really wondering if he has bart', he gets the bart' like streaks from time to time, and now this foot wont heal.[Streaks, purplish,or brownish silvery, and splotches, and some faded Em looking rash like skin issues].

Any tho'ts???

And if y'all pray, please pray for him... he has a life changing VA disability hearing coming w/in this month. It has been four long years of fighting thru red tape, this is final appeal. He sure didn't need the ankle problem in the midst of it.

Thanks for any tho'ts,input and prayers!!!

Jus' Silverwolfi concerned for my TxCoord love.

Has he been bitten by a spider lately? Look up spider bites...

my mom was bitten by a cat and ended up in the hospital with what they called "cat scratch fever". she was very sick. stayed a week or more.

i kept screaming lyme until she died but nobody would listen.

Hi <<<<< Randibear >>>>>,

No spider bites that we know of, but them dang red Ants got us both. I don't think they got his foot tho'.

I figure it is Lyme and Bart', that sure would attack the joints and muscles. He has arthritis too, and the *herbicide [AO] exposure* during military service certainly isn't helping.

VA has admitted *that is why he is now diabetic, and has some kidney issues.

But since his foot injury recently, the weird discoloration, and splotchy rash looking issues have worsened noticeably.

He should call in later to tell me what they think at clinic, since he's been there for over
an hour now, in the hurry up and wait bit.

I hope the problem isn't serious, and his ankle could just be wrapped. He has to travel soon, and as you know that isn't fun w/ injury and illness problems.

Thinking of our Moms,I wonder about some of the illnesses that momma was treated for,she had a rare disease, but hearing of her childhood now,I wonder.

Did LD and co's start the break down of her
immune system when she was little? No one really knew what it was then. And she loved kittens and puppies, small animals and such. So she could have been exposed easily.

Then there was all the camping we did as a family too.

As to TxCoords ankle,I'll update when we know something! Thanks for the reply.

*****Partial update, of course x-ray tech' can't diagnose, but they figure he's stressed the ankle, and then walked on it when he probably shouldn't.

He uses wheelchair for longer distances, but walks too if he can.

We'll know more hopefully in an hour or less, updates to follow.

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo >>>>>,

Yup, that was my thinking too. When I got clawed by a half wild cat in Louisiana, in the late '70's, that is what the old timers told me I had.

The Cat Scratch fever. I still have a scar behind one knee from the incident. It got infected,I got a sore throat, watery eyes,a fever, and felt miserable.

Now I know what it is...Bartonella, and I was pretty well sure when TxC' got scratched and had such a reaction it was Bart too.

Trying to get VA to test and treat, most likely wouldn't amount to anything... but we are researching things we can do supplements wise.

Still no word back from the Drs. on his X-rays ...it looks doubtful we'll hear anythig else today...
