Does anyone else have whole body stiffness in the morning. It takes me a couple minutes to get out of bed and I shuffle to

the bathroom like a 90 year old woman. My chest muscles hurt so bad its hard to breathe. I take pain medication so the first

thing I do is take pain medication and curl up on my heating pad until it goes away. I'm not officially diagnosed yet and was just

wondering if anybody else has the symptoms or has any suggestions of anything to do to help.

Yes, I've been like this for many years. Some days are better than others.

I was misdiagnosed with Fibromylagia many years ago, new treatments started in Jan with dx of Lyme. This is one of my worse symptoms.

Usually once I finally get out of bed, the pain and stiffness leaves once I get moving.

I do not and have not taken pain meds.

I too can barely get out of bed in the morning. I usually try to pull myself up, but my limb fatigue is really bad, so sometimes it takes me hours to get out of bed.

I don't use a heating pad or pain medication. My stomach is easily irritated, so I avoid OTC meds and I refuse to take the narcotics they gave me.

The only things that have helped:
Trying to limit the day's activities. If I have an active day-- such as grocery shopping (I know, not 'active' by most standards, but I'm really in bad shape now), I know my following morning will be horrendous.

Once I do get moving, it gets better, so I try to group activities together, such as, I'll cook and do laundry before I sit down. Normally I might take a break between things, but then it's simply too hard to get back up.

I purchased a really good mattress. It's improved my quality of life ten fold. I still can barely get up in the morning, but at least the pain has decreased.

I don't take the pain medicine for the stiffness, I take it for severe back pain which they were saying was the possible pinched nerve

My physical therapist said it was my sacroilliac joint, so I'm assuming its lyme related. I am not keen on the idea of

pain medicine, I didnt even take much after two csections. This pain is so intense, before the medication I would just cry

hysterically, my doctor first thought I had a kidney stone. Even the medication I'm on now barely takes the edge off. My

Pcp doesn't know what to do, she is also the one who keeps saying that I definitely don't have lyme, so she is sending me to pain management.

Yes to the stiffness. It gets better and better with treatment. It also kind of moves down the body. Now only my feet and ankles are stiff in the morning.

My SI pain was awful! It started on one side, then hit both.

It resolved with Babesia treatment.

Sooooo many symptoms resolved with Babesia treatment.

Yes!

Getting moving after any period of inactivity is painful. Mostly legs, ankles, feet and neck. I hobble around like an arthritic senior.

I had terrible chest pain-right on my sternum. Couldn't move both my arms at the same time.

All sorts of tests and finally the (mis) diagnosis of costochondritis et al.

Fast forward 2 years... got a lyme dx, started doxy, and 2 weeks later, the chest pain disappeared.

There is hope.
