I have the tick that we found on my 9 year old. What lab is the best for testing? It still has the head attached, so I hope that is good news for us.
We are going to his GP today to see about getting abx. At this point it is our only option seeing that we are in Houston. Never thought I'd be going through this all over again, we've been so careful.

Even though the tests are not 100%, I test any ticks I find. I typically only have it tested for Lyme. Each infection tested costs more.
The good news is that you know what to look for. Not all ticks are infected. Just keep a close eye on your child.
