Could this knock down the infection and reduce the treatment time with say a once a month cleanse, while the meds/herbs/rife hit the bacteria? I am ready to volunteer for testing.

I was talking about something like this in my microscopy thread, but this is even better!!!!
This is what I had said..."I also think that the future of Lyme will be in blood treatment. So one can use an IV line & let the blood be stored in an external container, heated & treated (with things such as ozone), dialysis type filtration & then transfused back into the blood stream in a continuous loop."
This is not a cure, it may be just enough to get your blood clean, White Blood Cells fighting again & enough to get you over the hump into healing land.
For others it will be life-long continuous treatment.

An artificial spleen would likely be a huge help with Babesia as Babesia can destroy the spleen (or certainly cause it a lot of toxic stress).
Just in case you need to know this, for anyone without a spleen, Babesia can be fatal, fast, if not treated assertively quickly enough. Those with compromised spleen function would also be at greater risk.
External blood treatments have been life saving for Babesia - as part of a treatment plan.
[Personally, though, unless dire circumstances and no other choices, I am just not sure I want my blood circulating through any kind machine, pumps, tubes, etc. and then to come back to me. I must believe there are less extreme ways.] -

I am thinking of this as a very complementary treatment to the other steps needed for eradication. One issue several of us have is that we can only treat at a certain pace because of the herxing. If the toxins can be taken out significantly the various treatment protocols might go quicker.
Clearly wide speculation on my part based on the article.
Dr K writes about how a form of apheresis procedure (blood cleansing) done in Germany really helped clear his mind. He realizes he has to repeat it yearly but thinks it worthwhile. I cannot say with any certainty but think this might be another way to achieve that blood cleansing.

Magnesium can be a wonderful tool to improve sepsis, too. Magnesium is rarely considered but it should be a top consideration. It's explained in article below.
[In "Downton Abbey" Sybil likely would not have died of gestational toxemia had she been administered magnesium (IMHO, of course).]
Also a key move in sepsis that NO ONE in any hospital will think of:
avoiding acetaminophen (as it blocks ALL the body's cells from being able to circulate glutathione - suffocating our cells, so to speak -- and blocks the liver's ability to make it), and that is key to addressing sepsis. Glutathione is key to our cellular ability to move out the trash & also let in a good fresh supply for our cells.
. . . For safe medicine in emergency, life-threatening situations we have to turn to magnesium chloride. . . .
. . . Dr. Raul Vergini and his work in Italy using magnesium chloride to fight infectious diseases.
He said, “Magnesium chloride has a unique healing power on acute viral and bacterial diseases. It cured polio and diphtheria and that was the main subject of my magnesium book.
A few grams of magnesium chloride every few hours will clear nearly all acute illnesses in a few hours. I have seen many flu cases healed in 24-48 hours with 3 grams of magnesium chloride taken every 6-8 hours.” . . . (end excerpt)
I can't comment adequately on all they say yet there are certainly some points to more fully explore.
Sepsis can affect us all, as some time or other. My mother dealt with that during her illness and it may have been the last blow. It often is for many with serious illness, it's the last miserable straw. And it need not be that torturous for the patient, IMO.
Thirty years ago, I had never heard of it much less thought that the doctors weren't everything possible. They pumped her full of acetaminophen. I had never really known a thing about magnesium then, either.
The cytokine storm that comes with sepsis can also be eased with Stinging Nettle LEAF extract.
Naturopathic doctors likely are the best to learn from regarding all this, though. With higher doses of magnesium, kidney support is vital, by the way.
I just gather tidbits of detail and hope it will prevent someone else from suffering unnecessarily from sepsis (or at least to the degree I've seen). -

Yes, that is the first thing my Nurse wife said to me. That would be great for SEPSIS & she is correct!!!
In the very first Monsters Inside Me tick bite video, there was an individual who got a tick bite. He was immuno suppressed & I think he had to have his spleen removed.
He was given ABX for babs & nothing worked. They had to do a COMPLETE BLOOD TRANSFUSION & guess what. HE GOT CURED of babesia!!!!
Some estimates say that only 1% of RBC's are infected with babs & that is why they are so hard to find in blood smears. Imagine if we could only at least kill babs, let alone some of the other infections.
And oh yes complementary treatment will be business as usual in the Lyme arena, but hopefully allow more of us to dig out of Lyme land!

That is certainly an excellent point and good goal (and potentially helpful to lighten load of already stressed kidneys, liver and ears - which take such a hit, too - I'm thinking).
Good discussion on this. I can see I need to go back and take some time with the article. -
