A week ago I started a low-fat diet and added enzymes ( serrapeptase and bromelain so far). I am adding Nattokinase and a mixed systemic enzyme this week. I also stopped supplementing magnesium and I was taking 3000 mg per day for years.

I also just got over a bee sting that I reacted strongly to. A bee sting that became infected was one of the main factors that set off all my Lyme symptoms two years ago.

So this week I'm very tired, my heart palpitations increased a lot despite stopping caffeine and I'm having burning aching muscle pain in my large muscles and increased joint pain.

Is this a herx from the enzymes? The diet? A reaction to the sting? Or am I just getting worse? Last month I knocked my abx combo down by half.

It sounds like a combination of things are going on. Re activated lyme symptoms, no mag, herx and you knocked your abx down. Enzymes make me feel better. I've never had a burning feeling from them.

Lyme and company gave me heart palpitations. I still have lyme and co infections, but treatment has gotten rid of the heart palpitations.

The low fat diet can make you herx. Reducing the fat lowers the biofilm (proto) and allows your meds and herbs to get through and do their job. Maybe this is what is going on with you.

In your past, has increased joint/muscle pain signified a herx for you? Now when I have joint pain it means I'm eating too much fat and the bugs are flourishing. I can't remember how my joints were when I got bit last time though.

Maybe some mag withdrwawl or lack of it too. You can get mag from epsom salt baths, facial scrub (link below). If you don't like baths, you can soak your hands and feet in a small pail of epsom salt/water.

Can you up your abx?

Well I'm still on 3 abx in max doses. My protocol before was extreme but I wanted it that way. I wanted to kill stuff powerfully. I went off because I was concerned that it was creating a risk for my doctor.

Magnesium deficiency!

(the enzymes can also be a factor, maybe back off of it a bit... The enzymes increase the potency of the abx)
