I just had this in both hands along with my index and adjacent finger twitching. It was worse when I held the arm in one position (like using the mouse on the computer).
LLMD said my central nervous system was agitated. I think they thought it was a herx. They had me take lorazepam and within 1.5 mg it had calmed down tremendously. However, it is about 2 weeks later and the twitching is starting to return but not nearly to the level it was.

i have neurontin...i wonder if i should try that. i usually only use it for trigeminal neuralgia
my poor body has been going thru a lot recently-minor surgery-many procedures-radiation...so i guess it could stir up the nerves especially if there ar a feww ketes left
