Just got back from visiting my LLMD. It was a seven day trip and every day was a lot of walking from morning until night. Really pushed myself. Actually felt ok. However the last two or three days I started to feel feverish and chills. At my LLMD's appointment my temperature was 99.8.

I am back home now and still feel feverish and chills. Last night had major night sweat. Tired. Flu like feeling. Mild headache. Is this normal after such a trip.

My temperature is fluctuating between 98.8 to 99.6.

Appreciate your input.

Do you have Babs? Your symptoms sound like it.

It sounds like you may have overdone it. Stress can make symptoms worse. Try to take it easy so you can recover.

prayerworks-Sammi makes a good point...it sounds like it could be babesia.

My main babesia symptom (in the beginning, before the monsoon sweats started), was temperature disregulation.

My temps would fluctuate from 35.3 C to 38.0 C in a single day sometimes.

It was awful. And the chills as well, just before the monsoon sweats started.

Have you had any coinfection treatment?

I sure hope it is just the stress of travel etc, and not babs.

Best wishes to you [Smile]

Hi Prayerworks,

I see you are in the Virgin Islands, did you fly to visit your LLMD?

Flying for me brings on some sort of herx/increased symptoms - not sure exactly why, maybe the decreased air pressure or something like that. Always hit me like a rock after I got home after a trip.

Yes I had to take two 2 1/2 hours flights to get to DC from the Virgin Islands.

I don't feel overly tired or anything just very anxious, temperature in the 99s during the day then it goes back down at night.

Also on another post I wrote about how worried I am about the possibility of being exposed to another tick bite. A few days after visiting Reston, VA I got a pimple like thing on my thigh that developed a pinkish perfect circle around it. The circle only lasted a day and then it went away but the pimple like thing is still there, but smaller.

What are the chances! No one else I was with developed anything thing like that and they were on the deck, etc. I was standing the whole time and being very vigilant that nothing crawled on me.

Ugghhh! I am so sick and tired of this! I wonder if the Rifampin and Azithromycin I am currently on would stop any new lyme infections from happening. What do you think?
