Went off abx for 2 months to allow the lyme to "come out of hiding".
I started back on abx about 10 days ago- I actually was feeling pretty good, but lately I seem to be having "mini-herxes"- I feel warm, dizzy, palpitations, my heart rate is up and I need to lay down-it usually passes in an hour or 2.
Does anyone else have "mini herxes?" I almost wonder if it's hormonal, like a severe hot flash?

- Babesia? Greta is so right. I got such hot waves with Babesia. Talk to your LLMD about this.
Below, when I say "lyme" I mean all that goes with it.
Anytime there is a break and antibiotics are restarted, there can be a herxheimer reaction.
Actually, it's possible to herx all through treatment. And hard to know what's a symptom from the infection itself, reaction to medication in general or a herx.
Usually, it does not matter. Just support the body to help manage whatever symptoms you experience at various times. Anything out of the ordinary can be discussed with LL doctor, of course.
A severe hot flash could be herx reaction but not necessarily. Adrenal support is vital for all dealing with lyme.
Women (no matter what age) can have also hot flashes that are not tied to lyme or a herx but lyme can make it more challenging.
Web Search: Tori Hudson, ND
She has a wonderful women's health book. A local LL ND (naturopathic doctor) or acupuncturist may be able to help you, too. -

I have treated babesia-2 long times with a horse dose of malarone/mepron etc. My LLMD is convinced it's gone-honestly I think she is out of options. And she is one of the best. I suppose I could throw artimisin into the mix, and see what happens..
When I had babs I had awful fatigue and a bad off-balance feeling.
I thought it was gone...who knows
