Hi <<<<< Lyme Family >>>>>,

Tho' I try to be watchful,so we don't get more TBD problems,I suspect, I might be flaring,or have another infection.

After some painful Argentinian fire ant bites, a skin condition I have had for awhile seems to be flaring, among other issues.

I have hundreds, literally, of those keratotic skin tags, and tiny blister like rash bumps on my chest. the mini-blister like bumps are worsening, and tend to grow and darken.

Sometimes they are itchy, and I am wondering if Astragulus, might help, and if it safe to use,as I've prolly had Lyme and Co's for over 40 years.

I had read, about Astragulus not being much help in later stages of Lyme? Any tho'ts or suggestions?

I have LD[seronegative], Bart', and Bab's[very probably, from what I was shown in a blood smear ]. We are hopeful of having a chance to be able to treat and test more of this in the next six months or so.

Waiting is hard, but I am trying to tough it out, w/ what supplements we are able to get.

Thanks in advance for any input!!! [Smile]

Jus' Silverwolfi here perspiring to much!

Astragulus can be too stimulating for a stressed adrenal system. Plays best with others for balance.

Basic details about this in book below and also in Buhner's book, "Healing Lyme"

Though not at all about lyme, this is one of the best reference resources on my bookshelf that has wonderful chapters, many graciously available through their website.

You may need something with more of a numbing action. This works GREAT as long as you can keep the skin moist with it. Cover with a band aid so it says moist and reapply as needed.

Not numbing, yet very soothing for other skin issues.

Aloe Vera Gelly (notice how clear it is, free of oils and lotions) - it calms heat burns so maybe will help calm chemical burns (from an insect bite, that is?)

Hi <<<<< Keebler >>>>>,

Thanks for the links, and info', I am out of Ashwaghanda at the moment, but it sounds like it would be more helpful than the astragulus.

My adrenals are still a mess, and my startle reflex is weird crazy right now.

I'll have to check my Buhner book again, and see if I can find the Sting-kill stuff too!

I was recently reading about calendula too, all interesting links!!! I'll be reading more, thanks for the Links help!!!

I appreciate it so much!!!

Ashwaghanda won't do anything for fire ant stings on the skin but, yes, could help your body better cope with the added stress.

[Yes, Buhner's book is the best, IMO, for our general purposes. I greatly admire his knowledge base.]

Most pharmacies carry Sting Kill. It's amazing. I would never be without it, ever. The little capsules that break open just when you need them are great to carry in one's pocket. Hope you can get some very soon. Best if can be used immediately, the instant just after the bite / sting.

The ONE EARTH book / site above surely has a section for insect bites and stings. Some web cross searching should help you find something for fire ants, too. Then, maybe web cross-search with term "home remedies" to see if there's something you have around.

Web cross-search with Buhner and fire ants, too, you might just find that he's addressed this somewhere. Maybe also search on his own website, too.

Good luck.

Hi silverwolf,

Ouch! Those fire ant bants are awful!

I get the same thing-blisters on my chest. Not really blisters, almost watery filled tiny round scars-if that makes sense.

I've been having those blisters hit me about once a month, maybe every 40 days even.

I am not sure what causes it, as my lyme flares about every 28-30 days.

When I was a kid, I was bit pretty badly by a nest of fire ants, twice.

Maybe this rash is fire ant related.

Local / state university "extension" services may have some advisors with knowledge of the specific kinds of stinging ants in your area - and what can help.

If unsure of the office, just call the main information number for your state university system.

Also ask if they know of any "master herbalists" in your area.

Dermatologists, too? [Just avoid steroids if suggested.]

Hi <<<<< Keebler, and Greta >>>>>,

Thankfully the actual bites have finally calmed down, but we need to get that Kill Sting, the ants are bad here in the desert.

But the little blistery things on my chest/neck area are worsening. I cant say they are really blisters persee, but they have that little blistery bump look to them.

I was looking at a Lyme rash photos section, and saw a rash like mine today.

Havr to take off for a bit, so BBL thanks again for input, links, and tho'ts!

Hi <<<<< Keebler,Greta',and Anyone reading >>>>>,

When we can, I am going to get a wart compound for some of the skin tags. I've used it a few times, and it does help.

The little almost blistery growths, are so small i don't know if the wart freeze/peel solution would help on them.

I was told by one beautician lady, that she had used a yam and pumpkin seed preparation[evidently quite gentle, maybe mashed?]. She had had an unexpected sunburn, and her skin darkens and gets odd bumps. It seemed to help her.

I'm wondering if that sort of thing with Calendula and/or Aloe might help. That was a good idea Keebler!!!

I've had skin tag issues for years, but these blistery like bumps are more recent.Have to go to Dr. in Sept. again,so if the itchiness doesn't calm down I'll see what they suggest, as long as it is not steroids.

Hi, Jus' me again,

Fighting a migraine issue right now, it was bad last night, some better today.

Still wondering after the ant bites several weeks back,if I am just having a Lyme and Co's flare,or new infection... hard to say w/o LLMD or LLND. There are none here.

I am not certain if I am just overtired, or if it is a new med I started some weeks back, or the ant bites, or all of it.

Soon I will be looking up my bookmarked info' on that GlycolX berberine. I want to try this, if i could lessen the amount of prescriptions I have to take that would be great. We'll see what happens!

Meanwhile I am in a waiting pattern right now... I'm not very good at this patience thing yet.
