For those of you who are taking this, what is the brand with the preponderance of Japanese Knotweed? Have any had the laxative side effect?

Source Naturals resveratrol (without grape extract) is made from knotweed.
We used to buy that but now we buy the organic japanese knotweed powder from 1stChineseHerbs (as suggested by Buhner). It contains no fillers, just the powdered herb, and we used it as a decoction (tea).
WoodlandEssence sells a tincture which is quite effective as well (from Buhner also).
-------------------- 13 yo DX PANS/Tourette's/Asperger's/ADHD treated for Igenex positive bartonella/IND lyme with 2 years of abx treatment. Weaned off abx April 2013 at 80% improvement. Thanks, I have been doing a lot of research on chronic inflammation and the hypothalamic pituitary axis, and I think I need to do more to address the inflammation to promote healing.

I think he is recommending Green Dragon Botanicals Japanese Knotweed.
I took it for a few months. No laxative effect.

This plant is a new "invasive" species in my area. Twice in the last two days I've had friends of my (independently) contact me to tell me that they think the plant is "following" the lyme explosion.
I'm going to do more research on this one.

I had this in my yard. It was trying to send me a message! Reminds me of the Stephen King Movie where he plays a hick that is overgrown by an alien plant species.

My yard too. When I pick it I just eat the leaves and say thank-you to the plant. Japanese knotweed has helped my overall body pain (51 years old) as well as the pain in my feet.
My daughter is taking twice the dosage I am for her autoimmune neurological disfunction caused by bartonella. It is good stuff, but I find if I take too much I get a little dizzy with low blood pressure.

I get dizzy from knotweed too because I have orthostatic hypotension.
I try to increase salt and licorice root. Sometimes I take florinef, too.
And I keep the intake of knotweed fairly low, but it still helps a lot.
