I use edta suppositories (detoxamin), but I don't notice any side effects. What brand are you using?

I had problems (also very irritated vaginal area), and IC symptoms too. Parasite treatment got rid of it for me. I thought it was yeast---not. It's surprising, but some parasites go everywhere (they go hand in hand with lyme).

Whoops, I forgot to tell you that I have done and still do parasite herbal formulas (humaworm, etc) and more recently added salt/c. I also do Dr. K's protocol for parasite meds, but at a modified dose (bilt, iver, pyrantel, albenza, alinia). I was shocked they cleared up my vaginal/IC and what I thought were yeast issues). Parasites go everywhere, and yeast follows. Check out THE PARASITE WARRIOR'S THREAD. [Smile]

I began working on parasites about a year ago with herbal products, salt C, and small rounds of parasites meds. Then I did a full round of Dr. K protocol (above) and it cleared up right away, but it was probably six months after I started working on parasites before the full round of meds got rid of it. So it could have been a combination of months of killing stuff, and/or the Dr. K protocol.

You probably have yeast too. Parasites have a connection with yeast and heavy metals. You may want to up your probiotics, and also take some yeast killing stuff. The docs really should recommend higher doses of probiotics for women. None of the docs I saw prescribed enough.

Tricia, do you feel better on the EDTA? I don't know much about the one you're taking. Does it have oats in it? I can't seem to find anything on it.

It is good for blood cloths, so is ozone therapy. Lyme obviously obstructs blood flow and sticks RBCs together.

Just FYI, From Wiki:
EDTA is added to some food as a preservative or stabilizer to prevent catalytic oxidative decoloration, which is catalyzed by metal ions.
In soft drinks containing ascorbic acid and sodium benzoate, EDTA mitigates formation of benzene (a carcinogen).

Also:
EDTA is used to bind metal ions in the practice of chelation therapy, e.g., for treating mercury and lead poisoning.

It is used in a similar manner to remove excess iron from the body. This therapy is used to treat the complication of repeated blood transfusions, as would be applied to treat thalassaemia. The U.S. FDA approved the use of EDTA for lead poisoning on July 16, 1953, under the brand name of 'Versenate', which was licensed to the pharmaceutical company Riker.

Alternative medical practitioners believe EDTA acts as a powerful antioxidant to prevent free radicals from injuring blood vessel walls, therefore reducing atherosclerosis. ...
