I know Zith is usually used for sinus infections. I have azithromycin 250mg left over(stopped because of the bathroom issues)but maybe taking just 1 I wont' have those issues.

so how do I know if the meds have expired?? I really don't want to go to the doc now, I have an appt. in 2 weeks and can't afford another co pay.

hmmm, we get all our prescriptions at walmart.

on the label on the right side, it says destroy after or good until....

and i get rid of any past that date, especially doxy.

if you're not sure, call pharmacist.

and just a couple of abx pills, definitely won't cure sinus, especially mine.

Colloidal silver nasal spray has always helped clear my sinus infections. Z packs never really helped me for sinus issues. I forget the reason, but zith is one of those meds that's a big no no to take if it is expired.

ok, I didn't know that about zith.

randibear, on my bottle it just says refills until 7/25/13. Guess I better not take it just in case.

Jen, what brand of spray do you use and where do you buy it?

thanks!

I would call a pharmacist. I thought the outdated problem was mainly with doxy, not zith.

I also use colloidal silver to stave off infections. I use Sovereign Silver.

GSE nasal spray, 2 sprays each nostril 2-3x daily will clear a sinus infection. Continue the spray for 3 days after so symptoms don't return.

You need at least 5 days of Zithromax if it is not old.
