I am wondering how many have had a positive culture test after extensive treatment with antibiotics for years. Western Blot only showed band 23 reactive. That, along with symptoms, has been enough to warrant treatment for my 15-yr old. She also has Q Fever positive, protomyczoa Rheumatica positive and bartonella (clinical). Low CD 57. Enough to know it is TBD.

Still it would be great to actually have a positive result. I'm sure many understand the feelings of uncertainty that come up. (yes I understand the unreliability of testing) We have been taking a break from antibiotics for so this seems like a good opportunity.

Do you think it worth a try or a waste of money?

Hi sickofsick:

Our daughter relapsed this January. Two years on meds, 6 months off with the relapse at the end of the 6 months.

When we had the blood draw this February we did the Advanced Labs, she cultured positive and at the same time had NO positive bands via Igenex.

With 10 Igenex Western Blots she has never had the IgeneX positive (at most 3 positive bands at the same time (but never on the same IgG or IgM) with some Indeterminate)).

It was comforting to know she cultured positive.
