Hi there I'm doing a candida cleanse and was wondering what to use for detox...Should I use Bentonite or Charcoal?...or both?...should they not be used together?...and what about psyillium? (sp?)...I don't know...any help would be much appreciated.

JMO, I think binders can be individualistic - I tend to constipate easily, despite my best efforts, so
don't use binders that often, but have used bentonite capsules (just 1 or 2) Zeolite was pretty good, too
Charcoal is heavy duty- it's used for food poisoning, so it sucks up everything in your tract-
They all must all be taken away from all supplements and meds-- Psyllium is also individual, I'm afraid, some love it, some it's too much- will bloat and not move-
Sorry- but here's a bump.

My personal favorite for charcoal detox is Takesumi activated charcoal - suggested 2 small scoops/day with fatty meals.

Thanks for the info...So the charcoal is "heavy-duty"?...As far as chorella, why do you need to be careful?...I think someone told me to do it if you are doing colonics?

Everyone is different, but for my son activated charcoal is only needed if he is having a big herx.
Because activated charcoal absorbs so well I try to avoid it as it's hard for us to find a time when he isn't taking or eating beneficial things that I don't want to be absorbed.
On the other hand some people swear by activated charcoal daily.
You have to be careful with chorella because it pulls heavy metals. The problem arrises if you mobilise heavy metals with out actually getting them out of your body. THink moving mercury from from dental work, or even just a place in your body that is less damaging and moving it to a more damaging area. Key to actually removing metals with chorella is consistent levels over a extended period. Some people with serious metal problems even wake up in the middle of the night to take their doses every 6 hours.
Hope that helps explain these things a bit!
