I know everyone is different... just curious!

I'm on day 2 and feel ok... but the week after next, I am traveling for work with a co-worker and am afraid of herx'ing while on that trip. ARGH!

I didn't herx on doxy at all.

And I had RMSF also.

I found doxy to be one of the gentler antibiotics I've tried so far.

Except for the chemical/sun burn it causes.

If you're going anywhere be sure to wear sunscreen on your face and hands. Well, anywhere that may get any sunlight on it at all.

My hands burnt so badly just from driving in my car, I still have scars.

Oh wow! Good to know... I mean, I knew that it made you sensitive to the sun... but I DO drive home with the sun on my left side for 30 minutes - I wasn't even thinking about that. I was just thinking I'd have to take my walks later in the evening! Thanks for pointing out the driving!

About 30 minutes. I took it as soon as I picked it up at the pharmacy and I had overall body aching on the way home. I went to bed and didn't get out of it for days.

Only on the 3rd day. It was just a mild increase in symptoms (very mild).

I felt much better the 4th day, energy for the first time when I woke up since being infected.

How much Doxy are you on? At normal doses you may not Herx cause it will drive the bugs into cyst form and not kill them. In fact you may feel better. With doxy to kill the bugs you need to double the normal dose docs prescribe.

Of course talk with your dr first.

By the way, I've been infected twice.

The first time I didn't herx at all when I started antibiotics.
