Does anyone know the difference between these two bacterias?

When researching this topic I find info that does not clearly differentiate between the two. Is one harder to treat than the other ? We are dealing with m. Pneumonia and want to learn as much as I can about it.

How hard to treat, how to treat any successes out there? I 'be read Nicholson's research but I think he sometimes is talking about fermentans and not pneumonia.

Any insight on this ?

My LLMD seemed to think m fermentans is more difficult to treat.

I don't have much on m pneumonia.

From what I gather, m pneumonia is a more common organism spread usually communally via respiratory tract. In older medical terms it was called "walking pneumonia". Very common out in society, especially universities or other gathering places.

m fermentans, less is known about it. It is possibly believed to be one of the factors possibly behind gulf war syndrome.

I have m pneumonia, or at least the antibody tests show antibodies.

From reading all of Dr. Garth Nicholson's research I am still a little confused. He talks about the different types of mycoplasma but does not differentiate between them, and if treatment is the same or if outcomes vary.

I know myco pnuemonia is also called walking pneumonia or community acquired pnuemonia, and treatment looking back in generic websites says a few weeks of abx. But when you have lyme and other co-infections I'm guessing it is harder to treat. Also wondering if you've had this for a short while if it is easier to treat.

I think you can google for Dr Garth Nicolson's site and ask him.
