On Chinese herbs x1 month, max dose for last 2 weeks. My doc never did a pulse read just gave me some he uses routinely (I now know this is not good). Herxing horrible (tired, brain fog like pea soup, low grade fever, achy, anxious). My doc said to go back down on herbs. I thought this was the wrong thing to do. I cannot ask my doc as "he doesn't talk to patients over the phone unless it's a phone consult or emergency". By the way, looking for a new doc too. Help!

- Yes, decrease dose. I'd stay off a day or two and then start back at a very tiny dose.
A pulse reading is not always necessary as they can "read" your body in a variety of ways.
Is this doctor ILADS educated? You say you are looking for a new doctor. Be sure he or she is ILADS educated, whether a LLMD &/or LL ND. It really matters. -
