Just when I thought I was seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I saw my LLMD yesterday and she

prescribed me Cefdinir and Rifampin 2x a day with a little bit of food and water. Well I started it

yesterday and was fine all day. Woke up this morning with terrible stomach pain and weird

discolored watery bowel movements. The Cefdinir common side effect is discolored diarrhea and

heard it is quite common but this has been all day and really uncomfortable and annoying. I am

taking a quality pro biotic as well.

So what do you think? Is this just my stomach

getting used to the new antibiotics (side effects match the warning) or do you think possible Cdif?

Cefdinir did that to me and I had to stop taking it. You could try to increase your probiotics but make sure you tell your LLMD about that.

I just got off of it and substituted Ceftin for it.
