Is anyone else using enoxaparin injections for thick blood? What has been your experience?
Also, the packet says "each syringe contains 30mg enoxaparin sodium injection, USP derived from porcine intestinal mucosa in Water for injection."
Does anyone see any trouble with these ingredients? I'm not sure about the porcine mucosa part.

Porcine source -- means that the product is from pigs. Most heparin comes from pigs, but I think there is some available from other sources -- maybe beef but not exactly sure.
Most LLMD's would probably use lumbrokinase or some other method of thinning the blood rather than prescription meds which can get expensive. But of course it would depend on how bad your coagulation problem is and if it has a genetic component or is a result of infection only.

I use Heparin sq. Lovenox is once a day. Heparin is twice a day. Frankly, I would prefer once a day but I have Heparin.
When I am on it, it helps with my energy and body aches. Hope you find it helpful too!

Glad that others are not having trouble with these ingredients. Your replies helped ease my reluctance. I did my first one today. I think it is helping some with my pain.

I took heparin shots for a few weeks many years ago and suddenly I began to break out in big welts over each area of the injection.
We then tried the beef formula in case the pig source was the problem. I continued to have problems but when I switched to the oral troches it was fine.
There may be some additional ingredients that I was sensitive to. I always felt really good while taking heparin.

Oral troches? Can you still get this? I was hoping for something less invasive than injections, so please share with me more about this!
