I will see a new LLMD on Wed., and I know that I need doxy---actually IV, if it is at all possible financially, which it may not be now. I can't get rid of Anaplasma is the reason.

And every time I try to treat, that causes my WBC's and ANC to go down further precipitously, causing me to have to stop treatment. (I do know to do Transfer Factor).

I also need to tx with doxy while we go into the winter months, which only last so long as it is.

So has anyone been able to get doxy lately at a reasonable price, either through normal channels or the alternative channels that people have mentioned?

Please let me know, so I can figure out a plan of action.

If you have gotten it through alternative channels, can you PM me the specifics? Thank you!!

BTW, I am not at all near a border, so driving to a border won't help.

I don't know anything about IV abx, but I understand it is expensive. Have you called all the infusion companies in your area?

I use Doxy in capsule or tablet form, and check each month on GoodRx.com to see what the best price is around me and go there, switching each time if necessary. I plan to use a Canadian Pharmacy soon, when I can get ahead of the game to do so, and have used UniversalDrugStore.com for other Rx's like CoArtem. Good luck!

It turns out that I can still get the oral doxy covered by my drug plan, I believe at a low co-pay.

Although, they have switched over from Medco to Optum Rx, and I cannot get the right answer about anything to save my life! Every time I call, I get an opposite answer---very, very bad.

As far as the IV goes, it was always expensive, I found a few years ago. NOw it is through the roof, due stupid FDA rules for compounding pharmacies that make it extremely expensive. Sigh.

So it seems that I don't need any more info for now, unless anyone has a way to get the IV doxy cheaper than Infuserve. Thank you.

No idea where you're at, but if in New England check Rite Aid & CVS.
Go to goodrx(dot)com & print out the appropriate discount store coupon *first* to bring along with you.
