So lately I have been having weird flares and bad herxes from meds I usually do ok with, when taken at low doses.

I thought i would try herbs instead of abx and just one capsule of cats claw sent me into a week long downward spiral that I am just now coming out of.

What does one do when their body seems to stop tolerating anything that kills bacteria???

Have you tested for MTHFR mutations? If your body has trouble detoxing, you may be killing off bacteria faster than your body can get rid of it.

I work on detoxing, yeast, calming my Autonomic Nervous System (an overwhelmed ANS seems to make all of my smptoms worse), and try to fix my sleep problems.

Do you have Dr H's book? You could work on any of the other 16 points on the map.

You may definitely want to look at MTHFR and other Snp mutations that cause you to not detox. I treated for 4 years with really no improvement in any symptoms, did 2 years antibiotics IV and oral, treated parasites, yeast, blah blah blah neve got better. Switched TOP llmds 3 times. NOW that I did 23andme testing for methylation defects finally found out WHY I am staying so sick and cant detox. MTHFR positive with other bad CBS, BHMT gene mutations. I started program and had to go really slow because I have built up such huge toxins in body over the years....now I am excreting heavy metals, virus, fungals...I have a long road ahead of me but now I have answers to why after years I never got better. So look at this as a possible issue, google Methylation Cycle or look on YouTube you will find a ND in Bethel Maine that is an expert. Good Luck NEVER NEVER Give up God is with you holding your hand.

You could do the 23andme saliva test to see how your detox enzymes are doing, then the ones not doing so well can get some supplement help.

My doctor suggested that I take a couple scoops of Takesumi activated charcoal daily with meals to aid with detoxing.

You could also try some anti-inflammatory supplements, like turmeric, noni juice, grapeseed extract capsules and mangosteen juice and see if you can tolerate them.

A doctor could also bloodtest systems like your thyroid, adrenals and others and boost what needs boosting.

How about taking immune boosters like Vit C, Vit D, and my doctor has recommended taking Host Defense, a mix of 17 mushrooms.

In other words, there's other ways to boost your body's health and get you stronger.

My body is at a similar place - only with me it is weird sudden food/med allergies popping up all over the place.

So I have also appreciated the suggestions in this thread. For now, I am trying to get yeast under control and am seriously considering HBOT.

1 caps of cats claw at first would also send me to the moon.

I would start with lower doses, and look for binders.
