I am riffing off then sentiment expressed in the recent post (yes, riffing not ripping) regarding the FDA.

If food quality has gone down and the drug approval proccess is alarming - Is there such a thing as compounded antibiotics ?

For some antibiotics this would likely be crazy expensive. But maybe a "cheap" antibiotic like amoxicillin would be more potent if compounded.

Anyone have experience with this ?

Just thinkin' outside the box !

Yes, you can get antibiotics compounded. Not sure why you'd want to unless you have an allergy to an ingredient.

Riffing?

Pondering the origin of "riffing". It must be from guitar riff. Like a jam session. In this case a jam session of ideas.

My thought was that with concerns over quality of food and the FDA approval procces for drugs, maybe compounded antibiotics would work better.
