I was looking through some old blood work that I found, and saw that 2 years ago, I had a positive Parvovirus B19 IGG (not IGM).
If I read correctly, IGG is long term immunity from prior exposure and IGM is as if you're currently fighting something?
Does Parvovirus have anything to do with Lyme?
And if IGG was positive, but not IGM, that means I wasn't actively fighting that virus at the time right?
I read that parvovirus usually resolves on it's own... but then saw where some people have to be given IV immunoglobulin in order to get over it.
I do keep getting a rash on and off that I was attributing to bart...
I guess I'll add this to the list of questions for my next dr's visit. :-)
Thanks for any info you might have! I googled it, but the information out there is all over the place!
Some say it's a lyme co-infection, some say it's not, some say it goes away easily on it's own, some say it's chronic.
I'd rather hear some personal experience here to give me ideas of what questions to ask my dr.

Not sure about the testing results but I can tell you that I tested high positive for past infection.
I think I got it from one of my clients about 5 years ago. Did not know I had it at the time but looking back I certainly had the symptoms.
My LLMD told me that parvo in adults can cause many symptoms similar to lyme but did not say it was a lyme co-infection. Did say alot of people with lyme also have parvo. Wish I could offer more info.

Thanks Joalo! I actually forgot that I asked until I saw it pop back up on page 1! :-)
Desert... I have no idea when I would have had it or have been exposed. But I probably just assumed "I had a bug" and left it at that, especially if the symptoms cleared up pretty quickly.
You mentioned a lot of people with lyme have had it...
I am wondering if a lot of people in general have had it and people with lyme are the ones who know b/c they get a lot of tests done?
My test wasn't actually done in conjunction with my lyme, it was done by a rheumatologist when checking me for rheumatoid arthritis... (for the 20th time LOL)
