Just started today. Flashing in corner of eye, getting worse when I blink or turn the head.
It could be retinal detachment or TIA? I had severe stitches in my brain a week ago, just was getting better. I think I can try the BRITE EYES DROPS which are carnosine.
Anybody else had this problem?

Yes, for me it was a vitreous detachment, which is less serious than a retinal one, but does need to be checked out ASAP. I also had a huge floater come at the same time. Go to your optician today, Karen, to be on the safe side.

Carry,
I am back. Everything was ok but I was told to always rule out a retina detachment. Also the carnosine eye drops helped me. Thanks for your advice.

Glad you're ok. I have flashers sometimes. It's scary.

According to the doctor it is necessary to always check them out - but then we always have to go to the doctor. He said it will be more often when you get older.

Ive had flashing in my eyes on and off for many years... the lights acutally look like little clusters of white grapes. No eye doc has been able to figure it out. I stopped worrying about it long ago. My vision is still 20/20 but astigmatism gives me some problems.

I had it before. I don't know if it was the Lyme or it was the seizures. (I was treated 3 yrs. for epilepsy and no longer have it.)

Now I was told it can be from brain lesions - MS people would have this. Liz, but you also had real seizures not only the flashing?

Yes, I had complex partial seizures and before my Lyme diagnosis I was misdiagnosed with MS (I have brain lesions).
