Really interesting article. Wonder where it went from there. I had a test called "my Lyme Immune ID" And this article makes sense of my results, that pretty much made no sense to me other than it confirmed my Dx.

One thing I disagree with though is the last comment that says if you tell a patient they won't feel better after abx they won't.

For the 25 years I went undx'd, every time I would be on abx for something else, I remember telling my doctors, not only did my strep, or ear infection go away, but so did my headaches and muscle pain, and rashes for some time. Went on flagyl and Cypro for diverticulitis... And I reported feeling euphoric, with so much energy... Lyme was never on my mind, but the fx of the abx was remarkable and unexpected. The doctors of course just said "great" or abx have an "anti inflammatory effect."

Wasn't until my current pcp actually listened that she made the connection.
