Has any one had to have a nerve biopsy? Having one next week and was wondering what to expect?

Is your LLMD guiding this? Being done by someone THEY suggested? Is there some distinctive reason with a treatment that can only be offered after this is done?
Otherwise, after various invasive tests, I just don't go there anymore. I know what's going on. If they don't believe me, too bad.
I just don't heal very well from these "little" excursions into my body tissue. And they tend to cause more pain. So, I just don't do tissue samples anymore. You don't have to if you think you are on the right path with treatment and it just needs more time.
If caused by lyme / TBD, most likely treatment will help. You've not been at this long enough yet to know if treatment can clear it, though. It could take a while.
Do you have a LLMD? Have other tick borne diseases (TBD) been assessed?
Are you taking enough MAGNESIUM? Fish Oil?
Be sure to avoid ibuprophen as that DECREASES circulation, it constricts blood vessels.
Certain dietary changes, I assume, have been suggested? Avoiding asparatame, etc? Gluten, too. While lyme / TBD can certain cause neuropathy, there are many other factors that can help during treatment. For starters:

An infrared healing wand might speed tissue recovery. See site for SOTA LIGHTWORKS and ask for any physical therapist around who has similar machines. -

- THERMOGRAPHY might be a tool that could give them some detail, it's not invasive.
Using Google Advanced Search to keep the term all together, search for: Thermography "small fiber neuropathy"
a couple "hits" suggest this may not yet be mainstream. But you might see who can do this in your area . . . I know there are some doing various things with Thermography already. But it might take some scouting it out.
