Ok so I'm freaking out a little right now...I was just reviewing my test results that were sent to Metametrix as I had brought them with me to a new practitioner today. As I was looking them over under "yeast/fungi it says "taxonomy unavailable"
Below it states a taxonomy unavailable finding may indicate ingested mold. The higher the number, the greater the indication for treatment, particularly when accompanied by clinical symptoms.

Mine was +4=>100000 !!!

My LLNP told me it was yeast/candida! The practitioner said today that candida would not state taxonomy unavailable...I know we have some mold in the house . I feel like I want to cry. What are we supposed to do..start ripping out walls..After all this lyme treament I don't have the money for mold removal..

What test was it from Metametrix?

Do you have the gene that means you can't detox mold?

Did the practitioner give you any treatment recommendations?

Funny thing is the practitioner didn't mention mold, he just stated I did not have candida...it was when I got home and I was looking at the results that I read the note underneath. It was a stool test.

You may have ingested mold in foods, right? Wouldn't have to be from mold in your house??

if you search here daynise and i talked a lot about mold

it is complicated but very important--the so called lyme experts usually rip you off..best to read govt site info for good info...they are not trying to take your money

the chains(serv pro etc) are the worst

be careful-i wont be able to type much but will help you on phone if you want

I'm dealing with mold in my HVAC. I'm probably going to have to get a loan to pay for remediation.

I called in a specialist who has worked with Dr. S. of mold fame, and he found it pretty quickly. He is going to make a remediation plan for me that I can take to a company to do the work.

First of all you need to find out if you have the genotype that is mold succeptable that is a HLA DR test you can get from Labcorp.

If you are then you need to test your house using an ERMI test, EMSL has the cheapest one. It's about 150.00. Then go from there.

Dr. S (the mold guy) says that those body fluid tests don't prove anything as far as biotoxin illness.

Hold the phone, geez I was all set to pack my bags..
I just heard back from the practitioner I saw today.
He made me feel better as he stated that he had personally sat with the creator of the test to discuss results and yes LYMETOO you are correct! Chances are I ate something with mold on it. Phew I feel so much better! My poor husband I called him in tears telling him we had to move!

This is an old post. So...my position on this has changed.

They are now using that Mycometrics test to detect toxins that are being produced by mold colonies in our bodies.

Sometimes the mold isn't in our environment at all anymore. We can still be getting poisoned by mycotoxins by mold that has colonized in our sinus (most likely) or somewhere else in our bodies.

I now think that DR. S's beliefs about this test aren't correct.
