That looks like a CDC positive Lyme test.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/00038469.htm

"It was recommended that an IgM immunoblot be considered positive if two of the following three bands are present: 24 kDa (OspC) * , 39 kDa (BmpA), and 41 kDa (Fla) (1). It was further recommended that an that IgG immunoblot be considered positive if five of the following 10 bands are present: 18 kDa, 21 kDa (OspC) *, 28 kDa, 30 kDa, 39 kDa (BmpA), 41 kDa (Fla), 45 kDa, 58 kDa (not GroEL), 66 kDa, and 93 kDa (2)"

Congrats on such a clearly positive test! No doubts on this one!

Each place it says "reactive" means that band is positive.

It means you have Lyme Disease without doubt. Seven out of 10 reactive IgG bands is a strong response. What lab ran this test? Your doctor needs to put you on antibiotics ASAP. How long ago were you bitten. Time is of the essence.

been on antibiotics for 6 weeks. Have no idea how long I was bitten. Found out I had lyme in July

been sick as a dog ever since. This blood test was from Quest Diagnostics it was just a follow up

blood test done by my ID because he wanted to make sure my Primary care did everything right. Showed

my LLMD this result and her eyes kinda bulged haha

glad you have a llmd. my guess is you have not had it for a very long time to have such a wonderfully positive result.

a test like that makes it so much easier to treat and be treated.

sorry your sick but glad you caught it now!

Well the thing is I remember being bit by a tick about two years ago but no bulls eye no flu or

anything, maybe a coincidence or maybe it wasn't the tick that infected me. I started feeling like

crap this summer in July. I went through the 28 days of doxycycline which resulted in me feeling

even worse then I did another round but stopped halfway through continued to feel worse and

worse. I went til october running around to different doctors getting every test done to rule

out other things until finally I found a LLMD at the end of October who is treating me for lyme

and Cos but I have to say even though everyone is positive about these results and saying I got

lucky I am still pretty sick and not getting much better even after 6 weeks of treatment and the 4

initial weeks of treatment. I still have a list of symptoms and still really don't feel good. I

started with a few annoying symptoms but now I have a ton of new ones so I really don't know

what to think.

Tbrown... I agree that your immune system must be very strong for you to register such a response... especially with Quest. Wow.

You will feel AWFUL for several more months, at the very least. You are herxing.

Lyme is not easily beaten without a good battle, but you are very much at an advantage with catching it early.

Just a guess on my part. If you've had this a long time (2 yrs or more) then your immune system would already have crashed and your test results would not have looked like this.

Simply my opinion based on my 13 yrs on this board.

I could be wrong, but I am also an optimistic person so that is another reason I am saying this! [Smile]

"dental cleanups" .. you may want to make sure you don't have mercury amalgams

I really hope your optimism is better than my pessimism because I am a Class A pessimist haha but this does give me

a little hope. Been sick for a long time I'm only 22 so this timing is really putting my life on hold. Really want and need to get better soon

Hang in there. At least you KNOW what is making you ill! Many spent 5, 10, 20, even 50 yrs not knowing.

Make sure you have a good LLMD too!
