My LLMD wants me to take clindamycin but I have been reading that you have a greater risk of c-diff with this abx.
Anyone take this antibiotic I would love to hear your experience.
I am taking minocyclin and cefdinir (was taking zithro but LLMD wants to switch to clindamycin).
Thank you!

I thought it really helped me for a while, but only lasted 3 weeks on it. I was taking it with Factive and Malarone, but I had taken the other two before. I do believe it was adding the clindamycin into the mix that really caused the c-diff and gut problems and I couldn't take abx anymore after that.

I took Clindmycin for 18 months and never had any issues with C-diff. I did take 100 billion cfu's of probiotics and saccromyces daily.
My husband took it for 8 months also with no issues.

Clindamycin was one of the best meds for me. I have never had any issues with C-diff. Always make sure you take very high-quality probiotics.

I can't take Clindamycin due to a nagging itchy bumpy rash I get with it. My LLMD wanted me on Zithromax, but I couldn't afford it. He just switched me to Sulfa, I haven't filled the Rx yet. It's cheap at least.
