If so, have you noticed any benefits?
It's the Immune Formula 103 with Vit C, Astragalus & Mushrooms.
The back of the bottle also states it has Oregano extract and OLE as well.
The bottle says "odorless", does anyone have issues from smelling of garlic?
Thanks for any input.

- Odorless is not going to have the same effect.
You also have to be very careful with OLE as not all is processed correctly. Link to follow about that.
Not sure of the amount of Astragalus but those with chronic lyme should not generally take full amount of that - only if well balanced with other ingredients. It all depends on dose.
If too stimulating (as some immune formulas can be), it can stress an already partly overworked immune system.
With lyme the "parts" to the immune system sort of get flipped. One is just toasted from trying so hard to find lyme that is evasive but another part may need some GENTLE support to help it along.
As for smell, others will notice it but you likely will not (on yourself). To help reduce the smell of garlic in social or work situations, GREENS powder or even CHLOROPHYLL liquid can be helpful.
Or just feed everyone else garlic or suggest to them how delicious it is in the dishes down at the corner restaurant, etc..
This is not about coming from breath as much as out of the body's pores. I felt very good on Allicin.
However, for some with Tinnitus (ringing of ears), this can increase tinnitus.

- Hepapro Brand is the one I would choose. The others are good quality. Seems an individual choice.
I've tried all of the 3 above and this one is the clear winner for ME. Not cheap, but you know the quality is excellent and one capsule of this seems to be better than many of a typical brand on the market shelf.

Allicin (from Garlic), Coptis, Smilax are key here:

I took that formula for many, many years prior to my bite in 2003 that made me sicker. I think it was one of many factors that helped me stay healthy even though I had Lyme.
I would catch colds/flus all the time if I got off it, but would stay healthy if I was on it.
I no longer take it, but as I said, I took if for probably ten years.

I should probably start asking questions BEFORE I go buy anything new!
Thank you both very much for the helpful information.
Keebler - are you still taking Allicin?
Six - do you find you just don't need Kyolic any more?

I stopped taking it when my LLMD put me on so many things.
I recently started taking Kyolic again, but the anit-aging formula. I don't feel I need the immune formula anymore, but I like garlic. I don't "need" it anymore, but I do take things to optimize staying healthy.

- momintexas,
I just see you asked a month ago if I still take allicin. No, but if my budget were stronger, I would still take Hepapro's Allicin. It's the best, in my experience, of all I've used in the past.
I save the little bit I have left for emergencies.
I do other antimicrobials herbs, though. Still, for anyone who can, it's best to be guided by a LLMD &/or LL ND.
===========================================
When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL (lyme literate) doctor who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present.
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc. (Be aware that those in this category can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)

Bringing topic back up to see if anyone else has taken this product.
Thank you for any additional input.
Having a teenager in school, any odor is an issue, so we are back to looking at this product again.

My lyme doctor told me to eat raw garlic or take Kyolic daily. I took Kyolic. There was no odor.
But, this was just the regular Kyolic, not immune formula or anything like that.
This was 8 1/2 -9 years ago when I was treating lyme disease. Since then, I have been symptom free, praise God!

- TF,
It's good to know about that as I've been told that if it is odorless, it's lost a key function.
Still, to be clear to those new to this site, you also did a full year of intensive treatment with a holistic LLMD, that (if I recall correctly) you have said was key to recovery after years of unsuccessful treatment with others who did not go as full force.
I just don't want someone misinterpreting that the Kyolic did it all alone. Please let me know if I've not stated something here right, okay? -

- momintexas,
Absolutely, if I were a teenager or had one, I would steer from the garlic odor. I am not comfortable that it's going to be the full ticket, though, if odorless. TF was recommended that in addition to her treatment protocol (or following?) at that time.
The odorless WILL have retain some good properties, maybe just not that of being anti-spirochetal (as I've been told the part that smells has to do with).
Maybe do Hepapro Allicin &/or a little raw garlic on Friday after school through Sat. afternoon and lay off on Sunday to let it work out of skin by Monday (unless there is a social life for the weekend, of course)?
Still, might I suggest instead of garlic, Berberine &/or OLE?
It has no odor and is much more effective than I found the odorless garlic to be for me. I suggest this, not alone, but if you are looking for one herbal KEY to lead, I'd look to:

My lyme doctor gave me Burrascano style treatment for lyme and coinfections. I took high dose combinations of antibiotics.
But, along with that, he told me to eat garlic every day or take Kyolic. This is just one of the things he had me do. I believe it was to strengthen my immune system.
When I finished treatment, I didn't take the Kyolic anymore.

TF and Keebler, thank you both very much for the info.
Yes, I think I'm going to wait until school breaks or summer to give him the non-odorless kind.
I wish I had thought about it sooner during the current break. Thank you again for the information.
Happy New Year!
