How much urine is a normal amount to collect for a 6 hour test in milliliters? I'm probably worried about nothing, but it seemed like a LOT to me. Much more than what I expected over a 6 hour time span. Would an excessive amount indicate anything?
I do not have diabetes and have been tested via A1C many times.

I think I had about a gallon in 24 hours (??).. but I drink a lot of water.
It filled one of those big red containers.
The more output the better your kidneys will function!

I'm guessing 1200-1400 milliliters. Are you thirsty all the time?

I just did this test on Sunday and filled the whole container but I think it's because they stress to drink lots of fluids while you are doing this test. I wouldn't worry if I were you. Good luck with the results.

- When I did this, I required TWO containers. Don't worry about it. Just do what you have to do, what you normally do. -
