It is the first time I read about how Mino and Doxy may not pass through the BBB as well as we thought...
...it's only one article versus many others that state otherwise, but it is somewhat concerning why many of us cannot rid ourselves of these neauro symptoms.

I read that article yesterday after seeing it posted on MDJunction.
I really don't know if it is a viable option or not.
I will say that I feel sorry for the author of that website. She appears highly intelligent, but has tunnel vision. She appears to believe that everything published in medical journals is 100 percent accurate and that nothing that is not proven scientifically is valid.
Anyone that believes that supplements and herbs are not an important piece of the puzzle in healing chronic illness is misguided in my opinion. And yes, there are few scientific articles proving their benefit for tickborne patients.
But as the author herself stated in one article -- absence of proof is not proof of absence. Just because something has not been scientifically documented does not mean it is not valid.
The author has another article where she treated herself with doxy only and found that to be ineffective.
That is exactly what the LLMD's are saying -- even if one only has lyme then it takes antibiotic combos which address all the various forms to be effective. And no there are no scientific articles to prove if any of those combos work.
That is where an LLMD has the advantage -- they have treated hundreds or thousands of patients with various combos. Also, what works in a test tube may not work in a real live person.
Tickborne patients are guinea pigs, but I would rather someone at least try to help than do nothing.

Has anyone ever FULLY recovered from their neuro symptoms and regained their cognitive skills after using Mino+Other ABX combos...?
I have been on ABX for about 13 months now and down to a couple neuro symptoms. Primarily brain fog, trouble concentrating/reading [I think because of the fog] and some pressure on my eyes....otherwise everything else is fine.
This article makes me think I will never fully regain my cognitive skills.
