- Some (perhaps many) hospitals won't even honor a patient's wishes for a gluten-free diet. Boston Children's is just one example of that with a teen a year or so ago.
Wonder what kind of changes they'd see in everyone if medical establishments went all gluten-free & MSG free? Of course, that would also have to be all processed "food" free and, instead, bring in a variety of real foods, fully delicious and nutrient rich. -

I do know that if you ask for a sugar-free diet at a hospital, you will receive "foods" laced with aspartame and Splenda.

I'm not surprised. I think parkinsons is due to lyme, heavy metals, toxins, etc. Since most lyme patients are told not to eat gluten, the connection makes sense to me.
I've tried to tell people about parkinsons and lyme, but no one listens. It's too much for them to handle (they are stuck in their own belief system--the land of western medicine). They simply cannot fathom it.

It's really sad how no one pays attention to what is staring them in the face.
My father died before I was diagnosed with Lyme. So we had no idea it could have been caused by an infection .. nor by celiac disease.
I think the combination of the two can make you very ill!

In a long list of Lyme twisted discoveries, I have found out how my father-in-law got his Parkinson's.
It turns out that he used to place ticks on him, because he liked they way they feel on him. This was back in the 30's & 40's where they did not know any better and in a totally different country.
He has had the hand & head tremors for many years now. Also the speech impediment that seems to go along with it.
Interesting I found out that my father got bit in our country at the family farm & it was totally different place. My mom got bit in NY a few times. My sister at least twice in NY, my neice at least 4-5 times from Staten Island to upstate NY. No one else seems to have Parkison's though. I did have some hand trembles but they are rare & come and go.
