Has anyone with lyme heard of carcionid or been checked for this cuz of lyme.?. my docters that I have been going to claim think I have this not lyme..
I have had blood work ct scan and urine test done for it but all negitive. I have been flushing red on my chest and cheeks for years b 4 never bothered me to bad. (But I had band igm p23 present on my western blot)
After getting bit by a tick in may 2013 it has gotten to the point I actully look burnt on my chest and cheeks at times.has anyone had this happen to them.I have been to atleast 10 docters but no one still can come up with much..
I am going to a llmd in a week but I have only having more and more symtoms sence may anexity,stomach pain,legs feel like jello,raising heart,chills,super fatigue,tired,whole body hurts,can't focus,shortness of breath,flushing chest and cheeks and dizzy spells,moody,loss of appeite and a few more symtoms...
do u think a llmd is for sure the way to go..just need some input plz

Lucky you -- you know you were bitten by a tick. So you at least know that lyme and other tickborne diseases are a possibility.
And yes, an LLMD is your best bet. Even if a regular doc tested you they would probably only be looking for lyme and there are at least 10 or 15 other diseases that the tick can give you (these are called coinfections). Plus lyme can lower your immune system so that other latent infections (usually viruses) become active that had been dormant in the past.
Start now gathering copies of records from prior docs and making notes of your symptoms for your upcoming appointment.
If you take your prior records to the LLMD it may save you having tests repeated.

Find a good LLMD. They often are well-versed in other problems and possibilities.

LLMD is a good place to go with a tick bite history and when other docs are baffled.

I dont remember having these symptoms until AFTER I started with a STREP treatment!
I was on my treatment for 18 days and in the first few days I was getting a red rash on my chest- and face. I thought it looked like a burn. Did you ever have a niacin flush? it sort of was like that.
I thought to myself- "how weird" and decided it was a herx. I just got rechecked and my strep is gone.
I would recommend to check into strep. It couldn't hurt, right?
I remember at one point I I did a symptom checker on line and carcionid was one suggestion that popped up from my input of symptoms.
I have had so many tests though over the year, I think they would have seen this, although it did give me a scare (the carcionid). I am certain mine was from herx. This is only my opinion though, and yours may be something else.

My head, face, chest, abdomen, and pelvis all turned bright red about 10 yrs ago after my LLMD found a bullseye on top of my head.
I would get to an LLMD ASAP, especially since it appeared after you got bitten. Really not rocket science to suspect Lyme. I swear, sometimes I think some doctors are asleep on their feet!
