Next on my things to try and get better is lemon juice mixed with water.

I hear that it alkanizes the body, help detox the lymph nodes and makes the candida dry up and stop producing toxins.

Is this true?

Im looking forward to changing my whole chemistry [spinning smile]

My LLMD recommends it during a herx. He says that if you feel better with it, you should consider an alkalinizing diet.

I'm pretty sure that is exclusive to grapefruit juice and not all citrus. Here's a website I found with more information. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/fs088

Someone posted an article here, I think, about citrus with doxycycline. Be careful. Take it at different times of the day.

roro,

lemons are acidic outside the body but once consumed actually cause an alkalinity.

Same with vinegar.

It's no wonder!! Go easy. Just squeeze a little juice in some water, like you would for iced tea.

there are great homeopathic remedies that can work on overall levels of acids in teh body.

a good homeopath can help out, or you can start off with an otc remedy at a health food store.

but your best bet is with a homeopath.

I have been meaning to start the lemon juice 1st thing in morning for ages. FInally did it 2 days ago.

I don't know if you can get a herx reaction from it, but something happened to me. 5 hrs later I had a headache that was verging on a migraine (I rarely get headaches), terrible nausea, chills, fatigue bad enough to make me lie flat and an absolutely poisoned body feeling. Plus a bladder that needed constant emptying. All went away after 3 hrs or so.

I didnt dare try it again yesterday, but drank lots of water instead. Had the lemon again this morning, with less lemon and no problems.

It's okay to juice them, but ONE!! And mix it in a glass of water, don't drink it alone.

For detox, you can drink whey protein, use coffee enemas, take epsom salt baths. [Smile]

7 lemons is WAY too much!

just do one or half of one in some water, as others said....

anything in extreme large amounts is not going to be good for us....as true for all things in life!

much love- hope it goes better~

Those of you who enjoy the lemon juice. If you're looking for a very strong detox therapy involving Lemons, then I've got one for you.

1 Lemon or 1/2 lemon -- cut it into pieces, the entire thing.

Toss it into a blender with 1-2 cups of water for 1-2 minutes. Then strain the pulp out, pour it back in the blender.

Once in the blender, add your favorite fruit juice or just plain Stevia (or natural sugar), and add 1 tbsp of Olive Oil. Use high quality Olive Oil. The darker the better. Light dose reduce the health benefits of Olive Oil, just like with any antioxidant containing liquid.

Blend it all together, and drink it through the day.

Or, you can make a few servings at once and put them into a sealed bottle, such as for spring/sparkling water. Keep it in the fridge and out of light. Shake before drinking a cup.

This doesn't have to be done everyday. You can do it every other day, or every two days, whichever you like. You will detox.

The rind of the lemon is packed with pectin, which is a fiber which absorbs toxins. It protects the fruit seeds from bacteria and fungal perforation.

The yellow zest is packed with antioxidants.

The juice is useful to cause the liver to excrete bile, causing detoxification.

The Olive Oil further stimulates the liver, and once the bile is excreted, the pectin takes up the waste and brings it safely through the G.I. tract to be removed.

1 lemon, 1tbsp of Olive oil and some juice or sweetner, and you've got a very potent detoxification weapon.

My girlfriend has been using this, as she was on IV Roch a few years ago and the antibiotic caused stones and sludge. They figured they would need to remove her gallbladder but she refused.

I'd long known about this formula from a man named Mark Konlee out in Wisconsin who had been working with AIDS patients.

I told my GF about it when she was in terrible agony one night (I'd forgotten about it). And she immediately began doing it. She had everything right there.

She contacted me a few days later and said she felt so much better. She initially used a lot of Olive Oil to clear the sludge and stones. If I remember she used around 4 tbsp or 2oz.

She has only complained once or twice since about her gallbladder. I told her that it takes time, with Lyme, things take time to heal.

She has reported finding parasites when using the bathroom. She collected one recently and called her physician immediately. We'll get the results tomorrow, but I suspect it's a tape worm.

The drink kills parasites, obviously. Hope this helps you all. Don't go overboard, just start easy with 1/2 a lemon, and then 1/2 lemon the next day. Whatever you do, don't try drinking it straight without diluting it with juice or some water and sweetner. No need to punish yourself. *lol*

That sounds like a terrific detox but remember to use organic lemon especially if you are using the rind.

Something else to check out is making your own liposomal vitamin C. The vitamin C is encapsulated in a phospholipid that is reduced to nano size taking it directly into the blood.

If you just take vitamin C orally, taking large amounts gives you diarrhea and you don't actually absorb that much into your blood. Using a liposome delivery system gets much more into your blood and cells.

All you need to get started is non GMO lecithin, sodium ascorbate, distilled water and an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner that costs about $30.

TEETH - keeping them strong while enjoying citrus.

Lemon juice is wonderful (for those whose stomachs can tolerate it) but the teeth will need a water bath so that it does not hang around and erode tooth enamel.

Do not brush for at least 30 minutes after consuming lemon, any citrus or, well, really any food. A water rinse is important but then wait.

Some sea salt in the "squish" water can help the tooth enamel regain some structure from food acids that soften it. Not so much salt to irritate the gum and mouth tissue, though, or to cause undue dryness.

I Double the TEETH info!

Just was talking to a friend who has caused herself serious sensitive teeth with lemon water everyday.

Now she' working hard to remineralize her teeth, but best just not to mess them up in the first place.

***Drink lemon water then rinse mouth with plain or salt water. Each and every time***

Curious as to whether these types of lemon cleanses make you feel really sick before you start to feel better...?

I don't get this. People who drink iced tea year round with lemon are doing this anyway, and no signs of any detox action.
