Does anybody have any experience taking Albendazole for parasites?

My doctor is having me do 3 pills to start with, and then another 3 pills 2 weeks later.

Parasite test was negative but we're trying treatment anyways.

Just wondering...if parasites are there, will you know from taking the albendazole from die off symptoms? If so, how long after taking the first dose does that usually happen?

Anything to expect? I feel clueless.

I have taken it as part of protocol, never at the beginning, so not sure on the "how soon" you might notice die off symptoms. I've started my protocols with biltricide, and felt what I believed was die off symptoms within an hour.

3 pills as a one-time, and then 2 weeks later, doesn't sound like anything that would accomplish too much.

Your doctor knows you better than any of us do. He knows your medical history, so he probably based your dosage on that, or he might be trying to see what type of response you have.

I suggest reading THE PARASITE WARRIORS SUPPORT THREAD starting on page one. It's a great thread loaded with great info. You will get a good feel for what a herx or die of is, as well as what other people are doing, what works, etc. :)

My son and I both used Albendazole, with some other antiparasitics, and I don't remember the sequence. But it was short periods. I don't remember any specific herx symptoms.

I have it but haven't taken much of it. Alinia and Albendazole both cross the blood brain barrier. From what I read on here, people report more significant herxes or reactions with albendazole so I have been hesitant to take very much of it.

As far as everyone have parasites, I took a lot of ivermectin and Alinia as well as worm wood etc and never saw a worm or any indication of intestinal parasites. I never even got diarrhea.
