Sorry I started a new thread but just wondered if the chest pains i have been having could be related to my sudden sleepiness?
I am getting full nights rest, even up to 12 hrs at times and napping hr to 4hrs during the day.
I see the dr. this week but I am concerned, this tiredness/sleeping/ lack of energy or desire to do anything is scary.

fatigue and sleepiness can be heart problem sx especially for women...
they are also lyme sx but if you are high risk for cardiac problems i would take them seriously
you can take reflux meds and see if they stop chest pains...that might mean it is not heart
or if you know how to test for costochondritis that might be what chest pain is
but if you have high lipids or are overweight or have family history you should probably get it checked out with regular doc...not llmd

i dont want to upset you but i had a friend who went for yrly ckup on a wed and the only thing she said to doc was she seemed to get more out of breath when walking home from work
they did an ekg in office and echo the next day and she had quadruple bipass on friday
she was 50 and it is 15 yrs later...but you do have to be careful
some women dont experience pain...they call it other things...take care of yourself

I had this same problem and went through a bunch of tests to rule out a heart problem. It is a good idea to let your doctor know, but it doesn't mean there is a heart problem.
In the end, Lyme and coinfections were causing all my issues. I did feel better because I had the tests and knew my heart was okay. Your doctor will know what to suggest.

Yes, please let your doc know.
Lyme affects us in so many ways. Best to let the LL's piece it all together.
In the meantime, I am glad you're taking it easy.
Do you have someone you can call if you feel short of breath, or dizzy, or if the chest pain gets bad? Someone to take you to urgent care?

Thanks everyone, the chest pain is better now but I am going to discuss it with the dr. Today my stomach is upset and muscles trembling.
symptoms are all over and I can't pin anything down i am hoping llmd will have some answers on Wed. Ugh
I do have someone to take me, Greta, thanks for your concern!

One of the most serious lyme complications, I have read, is if the Bb are causing heart problems.
When I feel a little tight-chested occasionally, I go outside and breathe in lots of fresh oxygen. Lyme don't like high levels of oxygen, I read.
It makes me feel less tight-chested. But if you are having pains, glad you are going to your doc.

Yes, I have read that c-diff has mucus, also is very putrid smelling.
Is it very watery?
Does your doc have an after hours number to phone in case of diarrhea?
For further instructions, to pick up a test kit etc.
I'm sorry you've been feeling so crummy lately.

Nausea is also heart sx for women but its starting to sound like avirus too...im glad your going to doc
Nurses say cdiff smells real bad-distinctive like nothing else
I get an echo every 3 yrs and the results have always been neg so it is easier for me to ignor the chest pains
I also know how to check for costo...ask your doc to show you ...you press on the ribs a certain way
And i have extra reflux meds to take...often a double dose will stop the chest pain and i know it isnt heart
Good luck-i think if you have a cardio work up you will be able to relax more and sort out if it is serious or not
Before i got the cardio work up my most er visits were chest pain and it was never heart-of course they said it wasnt lyme too...
