I would say yes to the epithelial cells. Not sure it's to be expected but you can see stuff like that in the urine of IC patients.
I hate to think how that smelled after being in the sun for hours!

Did my experiment again today. Urine did not turn dark either day.
It's cold outside. No smell.
Today's "specimen" was from first bathroom visit. Same conditions. Result: No separation. No cloudy anything settled on bottom of jar. Weird.
Interesting about IC patients and the the E. cells. I have IC and have felt "flarish" lately. No more apples I guess. Or tea.
OK - so yesterday I went to the nearby free-standing ER. Got a gram of Rocephin for resp. infection. Interesting - was my first ever IV push - no drip, bag or pump.
While there I had urine tested. All OK per the test. Typical.
The very nice doctor obliged my request - so my urine was sent out for the ALA and PBG Porphyria tests. Will see.
I discussed with him my past-year med intolerances. When talking about Porphyria - he said to be mindful that even if I do not have "P" - that with all my health problems - my metabolism might have changed. Makes sense.
I have never had a doctor mention that possibility.
I lucked out and got a great doctor at that clinic. He believed me when I said I had Lyme disease. No eye rolling. In fact he was interested and sympathetic.
Later I showed him a copy of my positive Bb culture test. I have started carrying a copy in my purse when seeing new doctors. Just in case the subject comes up - like why am I on Abx.
I have proof! I just hope that ALS can defend the test against the CDC!!!!
I think that Rocephin and Ceftin are OK Porphyria/P450-wise.
And in case I have Secondary Porphyria from Chlamydia Pneumonia - I don't think the Cephs would be a problem.

Urine not kept in the fridge will grow bacteria fast. It's sterile when it comes from your body, but grows bacteria in the open air.
