I have taken Tindamax on and off throughout my therapy.

I take it 3 days a week, although I have gone for long periods not taking it when my gut has been bad or it has been contra indicated with other medications.

Recently I started taking it again, and I noticed that my neck pain and muscle pain feels so much better when I am on it, and when I come off it, these symptoms worsen again.

I also noted recently when I was on doxy/mepron/zithromax for Babesia, that this combination also helped with the neck pain and muscle pain.

Is it possible that the Tindamax actually helps with Babesia as well as Lyme, or does it only hit Lyme?

The results are so immediate, that I did not think that I could feel better so quickly if it was only the Lyme that was being hit.

Does anyone else notice a big difference on Tindamax? Can it make a difference to Lyme symptoms this quickly?

I feel like it is one of the drugs that noticeably helps me, but the down side is that it really bothers my gut, and so its very difficult for me to take with multiple medications.

I am about to start malarone and hope to be able to continue to take the tindamax as well, if my gut can tolerate both.

I am right with you. I have pinned it down to being babesia or proto.

things that helped:
Zithromax/mepron
tindimax
clindamyacin/quinine
Alinia

art
crypto

anti-parasitics

make sure you are juicing greens and taking ptobiotics also pekana detox kit helps. Also anti-parasitic herbs

Glad to hear someone else also has a similar response to tindamax!

I am thinking it must be babesia as when I take tindamax I also break out in sweats.

I am going to start cryptolepis next week along with the malarone and tindamax but I can't take artemisinin yet because it interacts with some of my non Lyme meds.

I haven't tested for Proto yet, but I do follow a very low fat diet anyway, and it doesn't make any difference to my symptoms, so that brings me back to thinking its babesia.

been on tindamax 3x/week since mid-february.

only side effect that I've noticed is the bad taste in my mouth

can't tell which drug is doing it, but I'm have unburdened days (that's a great way to describe it!) pretty often

Pointermom

I read up on Tindamax and its says that it can cause a metallic taste in the mouth.

Fortunately I do not get that on Tindamax but I do with Biaxin.
