My LLMD just prescribed me Coartem, first week 5 days twice a week then take a break for 2 days then go back on for 7 days twice a day, Can anyone out there tell me their experiences with Coartem? Did you herx? Did you feel better after treatment? Any information would be deeply appreciated!!!! Will I be really sick if so what would ease it for me, I am suppose to start tomorrow PLEASE ANYONE

I felt as if some micro bubbles were bursting in my chest area, but it was nothing severe. Just pop, pop, pop here & there in the chest. I did show high titers of mycoplasma pneumoniae. They could not tell me if it was an active infection or a past one though.


I did not get a herx or anything else though & I can't say it was specifically coartem that helped me during that time, because I received a number of new meds at the same time. The new combo got me better for a few months & then I slid down the slippery slopes of Lyme entrenched regression.

I have done a few rounds of Coartem, but I did not notice any difference from taking it. I had a severe case of Babs, so I don't know if that is why.
