My doc is starting me on IM rocephin and I'm already on tinidazole and starting cefdinir (and actigall, then malarone in a few weeks).
She wants me to get my CBC and complete metabolic panel done.
I just looked at the test requisition and it says "standing order 2-4 weeks."
So, do you get it done closer to the 2 weeks or do you push it further?
Thanks!

Thanks Greta! I was hoping I'd hear once a month. I don't want more needles poking me than necessary.

No dr I have seen in the last 8 months has told me to get new bloodwork. Is that Bad? wrong?
I remember asking my old LLMD and he said wasn't necessary- that was while on doxy for a couple months

Can someone tell me what all the components of a liver panel would be? What do they test (what am I looking for, on my tests, re: liver).

I think doctors have tendencies to test a lot or not. I also think LLMD's test more when they are in states where they are not protected from medical board actions.
My doctor (also my son's doctor) is in Virginia and I think she tests a lot to have a strong paper trail to defend all her practices. For example, it's easier to defend longterm antibiotics if you can show positive antibodies to a lot of the known triggers for inflammatory disease.
My daughter's doctor is in Boston where doctors are protected by a state law that allows longterm treatment of Lyme with antibioics, and I notice she doesn't test as much (standard blood tests, or tests for infection) and just goes ahead and treats based on her clinical judgement.
